Katie fell in love with the songs of Etta James after years of singing her acclaimed song 'I'dRather Go Blind' which was a fan favourite for Katie. After delving deeper into the music of the legendary Etta James Katie instantly felt a connection to the catalogue and listened regularly. Deciding that more people needed to continue to hear these songs and remember this fearless Grammy award winning artist, Katie put together, Katie Whittaker sings - Etta James with the help of critically acclaimed Stuart Nisbet and his talented band. An evening celebrating the music of one of the most versatile and badass singers that there has ever been! 

Following a successful debut performance at Perth Theatre, Katie and the team are headed on the road again starting with Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival 19th July 2019.
